Through our Classics Live! program students attend full theatrical productions. The performances are not abridged or modified, nor is there a substitute cast. All student performances are followed by a 15-20 minute question-and-answer session that engages students in a discussion about the play and the process of theatre. 

School groups of 10 or more can attend student matinees or evening performances for just $16 per ticket.  ($20 for Saturday evenings) Call our Education Director at (626) 356-3104 for more details.

Classics Live! is a highly effective program when paired with an in-class Workshop, taught by a pair of resident artists from A Noise Within. Workshops can be tailored to your needs upon request. Pricing: $300 for the first hour, and an additional $100 for each hour thereafter. Workshops offered for the 2011-2012 season are:

  • Focus: Twelfth Night
  • Focus: Antony and Cleopatra
  • The Bard Within

STUDENT RUSH TICKETS

Student Rush Tickets are available for sale 1 hour before performances. Based on availability. Must show valid student ID and ask for rush tickets. Limit two tickets per student.

Single Play Intensives

The Single Play Intensive is an opportunity to conduct an intensive study of one play from Shakespeare's complete works.  This course allows actors, theatre-lovers, and teachers to increase their breadth of knowledge through inquiry-based table readings and hands-on exercises in vocal delivery.  Teachers must also attend two plays to fulfill LAUSD salary point requirements, one of which, for no extra charge, will be Antony and Cleopatra at A Noise Within.

Mondays: April 6, 16, 23, 30 from 6:00-9:30pm and Sunday, April 22 from 9:00am-4:30pm

Cost: $250, $150 for teachers.
