The Professional Internship program allows serious theatre artists to gain invaluable experience by working alongside professional actors and technicians during an actual repertory season.

ACTING INTERNS

Acting interns are cast in a supporting role in one or more plays during the season, receive over 100 hours of professional training, and gain hands-in experience in technical theatre.

PRODUCTION AND DIRECTING INTERNS

Production and Directing interns gain experience in his or her specific field of interest through one-on-one partnerships with the directors and creative artists working in the company. Production internships are offered in costuming, sets and lighting design. The internship is personalized to meet the needs of each student.

ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNS

Administrative interns may specialize in artistic, education, or marketing administration.

ADMISSION

Six to eight acting interns are chosen for each three-play (Fall and Spring) repertory season. Admission is by audition and interview. Actors should prepare two contrasting monologues (not to exceed 3 minutes total), one of which must be from the works of William Shakespeare. Production interns request an interview and submit a portfolio for review.
