2011 - 12 Season Videos
Take a tour of The Illusion set model (scenic design by Keith Mitchell). The set, inspired by 17th century French painters, features the detailed textures of a dark cave, with many possibilities for magical appearances and disappearances. The sound design (Doug Newell, Zipline Sound) features playful, yet dark compositions.
A Noise Within's epic production of Antony and Cleopatra runs February 25 - May 13, 2012. In this short video, we get an inside look on a portion of the "at sea" fight sequence, choreographed by Ken Merckx.
Ken Merckx, Fight Choreographer for A Noise Within's production of Antony and Cleopatra, shows off some of the spectacular weapons that will be used in the two large fight sequences. Antony and Cleopatra opens March 3 (previews begin February 25) and promises to be one of A Noise Within's most epic productions to date.
Monette Magrath, who plays Abbie in A Noise Within's production of Desire Under the Elms, describes her process in preparing for the role of each night. From a photo collage, to a music playlist, to crispy elm leaves, Monette leaves no sense unturned in her preparation.
Endre Balogh, classical violinist, speaks about his process in composing original music for A Noise Within's production of Desire Under the Elms. Be sure to watch until the end to hear a sneak peek of Endre Balogh's rendition of the American folk classic, Turkey in the Straw.
John Iacovelli, Scenic Designer for A Noise Within's production of Desire Under the Elms, written by Eugene O'Neill, talks about the importance of the Elm tree and how its meaning is incorporated into the play's scenic design.
