First Look at Gem of the Ocean

We were back in the studio for the second time this season with our cast from Gem of the Ocean: Veralyn Jones as soul cleanser Aunt Ester, Kevin Jackson as former Underground Railroad conductor Solly Two Kings, and Evan Lewis Smith as the play’s main protagonist Citizen Barlow. Given the play’s themes of healing and baptism and the ocean, we decided that our main concept for the photoshoot would be water. So, we grabbed a bucket and got to work to rain down that beautiful cleansing water on our actors. Check out our behind-the-scenes shots as well as the final product below!
