New grants help fund capital projects at ANW!

Thanks to generous grants from The Ahmanson Foundation and The Pasadena Community Foundation, we will be able to complete several major capital projects in the theatre and scene shop this summer. These projects were part of the original plans for the building, but not completed before the opening of the theatre in 2011.
In order to keep up with the increasing demands of rotating repertory theatre and more ambitious production designs, we will be installing additional rigging, lighting, and sound equipment in the theatre. In fact, improvements have already begun: we just finished installing a loading dock lift to replace the temporary ramp in the scene shop. These additional resources will increase safety and efficiency during production and changeovers, expand the lighting and scenic possibilities for the directors and designers, and create a better stage environment for the artists and audiences to enjoy.
