2023-24 Season: Debut! Understudy Cholly, The Bluest Eye

Lamont Harold Young is a seasoned actor of 20 years hailing from Vallejo, California. Lamont was recently featured on Nickelodeon’s Danger Force as The Butcher. This year Lamont starred in an international commercial for Etsy. In April 2021 Lamont was presented with the best actor in a monologue award at the New York Best Actors Film Awards for his portrayal in the short film BLUE EYE SHADOW. Lamont has been in over 20 stage productions. His favorite credits include: FENCES (Bono), A SOLDIER’S PLAY ( C.J.), IN THE MIDST OF THEM (Harold), and THE MEETING (Martin Luther King, Jr.). He has written, directed, and starred in many film productions. His production company titled Powerhouse Inc. Productions is in the process of filming several projects currently. In 2018, Young earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. Young believes the study of the mind and how we operate as humans is a key factor to acting. For the past five years, Lamont has had the pleasure of traveling to different cities performing as Martin Luther King, Jr. It is a serious passion of his. He thanks his wife and family for unconditional love and support. Love to his mama Betty. God his first and only inspiration.
