Opera Season

Music to our ears? Well, yes. Call it confluence, say it’s symmetry, but this is definitely the Season of Opera here at ANW.
Exhibit A: Our spring rep season gets off to a rollicking start with The Threepenny Opera. The show Newsweek called “the great musical of all time” ushered in a theatrical revolution in content and form. Equal parts cantata and call-to-arms, this groundbreaker broke all the rules.
Exhibit B: The Pasadena Opera’s inaugural season, right here at A Noise Within! Leonard Bernstein’s Candide resounded to sold out crowds on the Redmond Stage on January 9th and 10th, further cementing our commitment to serving the arts community as a presenter of note.
Exhibit C: Figaro! Our West Coast Premiere of noted playwright Charles Morey’s adaptation of the Beaumarchais classic unfurls on March 1, helmed by “Earnest” director Michael Michetti: get set for a fast, fierce French farce. (And don’t forget the LA Opera’s production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro this spring!)
