Field Trips
Weekday Matinees for Student GroupsChallenge. Engage. Inspire.
Each season, A Noise Within opens its doors to welcome high school, middle school, and elementary school students from across Southern California to our weekday Student Matinee series. Over the past thirty years, students, teachers, and chaperones have traveled from as far as Long Beach, Victorville, Oxnard and elsewhere to experience the magic of a live performance at A Noise Within – bridging the gap between stage and classroom.
On this field trip experience, your students will enjoy a full-length production, presented by the same professional cast as our regular performances, and a lively post-show Q&A that directly engages students with the artists. You will also be provided with a comprehensive educational study guide, full of pre-show and post-show classroom activities. After the performance, enjoy a picnic lunch on our front lawn or deepen your students’ learning by booking a post-show workshop.

Theatre Etiquette
At A Noise Within, we acknowledge that members of our student audiences may be with us experiencing live theater for the first time. That makes us very happy! We take pride in educating our student attendees on proper theatre etiquette. Before your field trip, we encourage you to take time to review the following document with your students: Theatre Etiquette for Student Matinees.
Thank you for your support! A Noise Within gratefully acknowledges the generosity of our A Noise Within Education donors. Your support allows us to produce award-winning productions of classic plays as well as reach more than 18,000 students in a typical year through our extensive education programs.
