Young Adult Council
Young Adult Council (YAC) is a program at A Noise Within that was established in 2014. The Young Adult Council is for students 13 and up in the Pasadena and Los Angeles areas who are interested in engaging in a professional theatre environment. Membership is free for all students interested in this unique opportunity to become a part of the A Noise Within community. As part of the Young Adult Council, students meet monthly for master classes (taught by professional Teaching Artists) and have the opportunity to attend select performances of all of our plays in the season. Members are encouraged to act as ambassadors of A Noise Within and are expected to attend productions at other professional theatres throughout the LA and Pasadena area.
Each class will be tailored to the council’s interests. As a council, we want to create a well-rounded experience that is preparing the artists for work in the professional landscape of Los Angeles.

Who is it designed for?
YAC is designed for any young adult 13 or older that has an interest in any aspect of theatre.
How much is Membership with YAC?
YAC is free. The students may decide they want to make some meetings a potluck with snacks and such but that is not a requirement.
Do I have to attend every meeting?
YAC members will regularly attend the monthly meeting and master classes with limited exceptions in order to maintain membership in the council. Those who miss more than 2 classes may be asked to leave.
Do I have to attend every A Noise Within Performances?
Attendance to the performances is not required but strongly encouraged.
Can my friends who are not YAC members get tickets?
Yes they can! They must be students 13+ and you will need to fill out a form prior, but you can get two extra tickets for $10/each.
Can my parents get tickets at the YAC price?
Unfortunately, the extra tickets can only be used for students under the age of 18. But they are welcome to attend, they can purchase tickets on our website.
Will we be able to attend shows outside of ANW?
If it is something that the council would like to prioritize this season then we will work to attend at least 2 shows during the program. Performances and dates will be provided later.
